help i can't play the sims 3 pets. [SOLVED]

Hi!
Can someone help me? I bought the sims 3 and downloaded the sims 3 pets. And now i can't play the sims 3 pets.
When I open the sims 3 pets, it works untill i have to choose a city. Then it says: We do not know if it was legally purchased, please contact customer service. And then it close.
Has anyone else this problem? Please help!

Yes i did, but when i open it, i get weard numbers.
And it didn't work. it still says: We do not know if it was legally purchased, please contact customer service !
I'm not handy with computers, what do i wrong?

How is it possible that you applied it, but you get weird numbers? So I assume you did not apply it.
In order to open the included "# Installation Guide.pdf", please download Adobe Reader here: http://get.adobe.com/nl/reader/ (You might want to uncheck the "McAfee" virus scanner!)
After installing Adobe Reader, open the Installation Guide and read it very carefully.

Ah thanks i know what i did wrong!
I had no winrar! So I coudn't open it!
