The Sims 3 base game- blue screen of death x_x

My sims 3 base game, not pirated may i add, used to work fine and I could go hours on end and it would continue glitchless. This problem started after I had to reinstall Windows vista thus redownload the game. I can open and play the families just fine for about 5-10 minutes until all of a sudden the game crashes, my computer restarts and up pops the blue screen of death

That's odd. Let me add that BSoD's are usually caused by a hardware failure. For example: lack of power, bad (connected) RAM etc.

^no, i already tried that and it sadly failed i'm getting really frustrated, i havent been able to play since september when they had that glitchy update, and as soon as they fixed that problem i get this blue screen!

Please update your graphic card driver. Let me know if that solve your problem.
Anyway, I suggest you to update all driver and windows.
