The Sims 3 update 1.29 available!

i'm not sure it concern the problem i posted in my thread which unfortunately was closed without giving me any clue to my problem.

Hello,

Your problem was related to an out-dated Fix. When the Fix has been updated, your problem should be solved.
For now, you can press "Continue" and then start the game from your taskbar. (It should be there, minimized)
If that didn't work either, please wait for the Fix to be updated. Thank you.

Not if you have any expansions installed and/or have the latest version of the game. (Since the old crack(s) don't work with the new version of the game)

You are not. You need to wait for the Fix to get updated and then they'll all work again.

Thanks SO much for the help. So should it be saying right now without the new fix that a disk is needed just want to make sure I was installing it all properly.

I updated to this one earlier from the sims updater itself. Should I had not done that?

Are we able to play if we have not updated to 1.29 and are still at 1.26?

Yes if you don't update your game you still can play it. Just wait for the complete fix and play on the old version 1.26 untill the fix is ready.

You mean you downgraded? That's not possible. If your base game is v1.29 at the moment, you'll need to wait for the Fix to get updated.
If your game works fine now, don't touch it until the Fix has been updated.

No I didn't downgrade. Instead of getting the update from you all I updated it from EA games. And no my game is still not working. what if I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it? Would that work?

I don't get it any more. What is your game version at the moment?

You know when you pull up the sims launcher how it will tell you an update is available. That is how I updated I didn't know I shouldn't had. So would it work if I uninstalled the current one and reinstalled and didn't update it?

Yes, that would work, but you'll need to uninstall everything, restart your PC and then reinstall everything.

I tried to update my game, but it said i had an invalid file, weird O.o anyhoo glad you posted this up after that failed

Yeah, I am eager for the new fix aswell ~ I updated unfortunately but I just uninstalled the reninstalled but make sure you don't copy "current patch" from your old EA folder as you'll get a message saying that your basegame and current expansions don't match.

i know they are working hard, I just wanna play so bad. I actually just downloaded the sims 3 the other day with all exspantions, really had not even got into the game much before this patch came out and screwed me up >.<

I'm eager to do the update, but I'm waiting like they said to I don't want to reinstall again lol. I should get some blank dvd discs to back up all the installation stuff, I'm tired of having 40+ gigs being taken up by all of it >.< hahaha
