Dear The Sims 3 fans/downloaders,

There's a new update available for The Sims 3: v1.29 . This makes the game unplayable IF: you have any expansion(s), if you have the latest version of the game.
This means that our Ultimate Fix is currently out-dated and it needs to be updated. It'll be updated as soon as possible. If you wish to be notified about when the new version is available, please join this mailinglist: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/g8-the-sims-3-fans

Although, the official v1.29 (manual) update is already available for download here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v129-fix-manual-patch-updated
But you'll need to wait for a working crack, which will be included with the updated Fix, first.

I'm eager to do the update, but I'm waiting like they said to Smile

I don't want to reinstall again lol. I should get some blank dvd discs to back up all the installation stuff, I'm tired of having 40+ gigs being taken up by all of it >.< hahaha

Hello

De fix doesn't work for the moment I think the problem is in the crack mod folder and that we don't need to change the TS3W.exe file anymore for playing the pets, generation and town life stuff. I don't even have a mod folder in the location you have given me in your guide so I can not replace mine.

I will try it now again with the temp fix by installing it all over again.

Hello,

It's normal that you don't have a "Mod" folder, but still you have to copy to that folder.
For everyone else, I recommend you wait for the official Fix with a working crack. This one's just temporary.

UPDATE 18-12-2011;

Currently working on the official version of the Fix, which uses a normal crack and should work fine. Stay tuned!

very happy that v1.29 is working now

but admins, i did not get the notice by email and i did join the group (sims 3 fans) and get the confirmed email from the group that i was accepted, unless i just happened to check the site before you got a chance to send it out.

OK..........

here we go.........i downloaded the new 1.29 fix and installed it...........

thought it was working fine for a couple of times i played after the fix, but just in the last 20min. it crashed to the desktop twice...... Crying or Very sad

my game has all the sims that are out............................. but NOT pets.........

it crashed in CAS.........

i really dont want to reinstall everything again...................

played again for about an hour and everything seems fine......

maybe just the sims i was tring to create????????

I've deleted all and re-installed all day (since 6.30 this morning) and I keep getting an error message when trying to run the game. It says I've installed a mod that isn't compatible with the game. I even get the message after I've deleted all files in my downloads folder. What am I doing wrong? I've been following your instructions to the dot....Pelase help this is driving me mad! Most of yesterday I fought the same battle and was really hoping I would get it to work to day. Even downloadede your fix again this morning just in case you've updated it since yesterday.

I think that you're using the temporary fix, which is located in the mods folder. You can remove it from that folder, then apply the official fix.

I tried deleting the file and re-installed the fix files. But now my game won't update! I keep getting a message about an error. But it seems the games runs just fine. Thank you for your help :-)

I am having the same problem as JannieE. It keeps telling me "invalid file" I think was the error. I even stripped it down to the base game and Pets but it doesn't make a difference.

I celebrated too soon. After 15 minutes of gameplay it crashed and I got this error: The instruction of 0x6fd350f0 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program.

Hello,
You should get this fix, apply all steps as found in the installationguide (except those for expansions you do not have) but when you get to step 13 (open the launcher to update) use this manual patch instead.
If your game keeps crashing, try this.
