The Sims 2 "directx9c" Issue. [SOLVED]

Hello!

I installed the complete collection and replaced the .exe with the cracked Mansion & Garden file.  When I clicked to run the game I got the exact same message as the poster in this thread:

The game cannot find directx9c and cannot run.  I tried downloading new versions of directx and installing them but that didn't fix the problem.

One of the suggestions for fixing the problem was to re-download the crack.  I tried this but the file wasn't on the server anymore.  Is there any way this could be re-upped somewhere so I could snag it?  Since it worked for the OP in the older thread, I have a lot of hope it will work for me as well.

Thanks so much!  I really miss playing Sims 2 and was so excited to start again.

This is for the Mansion & Garden Stuffpack. It downloads a .rar archive, whicn in turn contains a Sims2EP9.exe file. Please make sure to put this file in the correct location as well, overwriting the old file when prompted. 

C:\Program files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin

Start the game only from that Sims2EP9.exe file, in that specific folder location. You can get this error if you paste the file in the wrong location, and try running the game that way. Good luck!
