WHERE do you I have to apply the manual patch?

Hello,

please forgive me for the possibly stupid question but I am absolutely terrified of messing up again!

Here's the deal: I just installed ALL my games again and now I am at the point where I have to manually patch my game only that when I double click my patch (yes, its for MAC and yes, its the most up to date) it asks me to "Select the "Sims3.app" and click Update".

Now, what file am I supposed to update? PLEASE PLEASE give me extremely detailed explanations because I messed up for first time and I had to download everything again!!!

Another question: If i updated with the original Sims' update launcher can I manually update later on?

Hello,

If you can update with the launcher, you don't need the manual patch. Try it and please let us know the result.

Hello and thank you for your reply. I thought that the Games for the world manual patch was much better than what the Sims 3 launcher offers?

I can patch automatically with my launcher but I would like to use the Games for the world one, how do I make it work?

Hello,

I'm not sure, normally you'd click it and it installs itself. On PC that is, but I think it should work the same on MAC though.
The manual patch isn't better though, we offer the downloadlink for the manual patch for those who have trouble using the launcher.

Oh ok, because reading around all the forums it seems that people much prefer the manual patch.

When I double click on the patch it asks me to find the sims3.app . Since I didn't want to screw up like last time (by just selecting the whole sims 3 folder in applications. That resulted in my whole came becoming corrupted) I came here to ask!

You see, when I first installed my Sims 3 on my mac I had downloaded the patch from the Sims 3 launcher but every now and again it would crash, so while looking through the mac forums I saw that some people said it was because of the original Sims 3 launcher patch...

Anyway if you ever find out how to do it on a mac please let me know!

One last question: If i updated with the original Sims' update launcher can I manually update later on?

Hello,

Most people prefer the manual patch because it's guaranteed not to come up with the invalid file error, and you don't have to apply the entire fix.
If you do patch with the launcher, you can always use the manual patch later, it's no problem.
Before taking any action, you can choose to wait for Admin's reply on this matter. I'm not sure when exactly he'll be able to reply though.

I'm having the same troubles. I don't know how to appy it. someone please help me... that is what the file looks like the winrar.. I extract them.
