Sims 3 error: "This product requires an installed copy of The Sims 3"

Greetings.
I have been trying to install all the sims 3 packs multiple times and I have even reinstalled them twice (I only used the content from this site). I get the same error again and again, no matter what tutorial I follow. So after successfully installing the sims 3 base game, no matter what other expansion pack I want to install, I  get the following error:  "This product requires an installed copy of The Sims 3. Please install The Sims 3 before installing the product". I have no idea what to do. As I mentioned before, my base game IS perfectly installed. I could really use some help !

P.S. My computer is advanced, no need to worry about its performance. I have Windows10.

I have actually fixed the issue. Finally! xD
For all of you who have this problem, because I saw many topics about it on other communities, just install everything in C:/ and nowhere else. I used to change the location to another where I had more disk space, but ended up letting them to decide their own installing folder. Thank you anyway
