First topic message reminder :

Hello, I'm new here. I just downloaded sims 3. Now I want to ask should I apply the Base Game crack if I want to install other Sims 3 expansions? In one of your video I read that if I want to install The Sims 3 expansions I don't need to apply the base game crack. I'm confused. If I install Generations/Town life stuff/Pets do I have to apply their cracks to the base game or the base game crack?

Hello,
Don't use the crack that came with Generations at all. It wont be compatible with your game version.
I recommend getting the Ultimate fix, it'll allow you to patch your game to the latest version.

Open with winRAR, the find a file called #Installation Guide, that file tells you all you need to know.

okay now big problem i cant edit my house everytime i do it says that sims 3 has stopped working. please help

also when i was doing the ultimate fix it didnt allow me to update the game it said there was an invalid file or something,, maybe that has something to do with it

That's probably your problem right there. Reapply the fix but this time, use this manual patch.
