Sims 4 Downloading Problem

I downloaded the Sims 4 and followed the directions in the guide, or so I think. Every time I go to open the game, I get an error message saying I need to update Origin and install again. Well, my Origin was completely off as was my anti-virus. I even added all the files to my anti-virus' exceptions list. 

I copied and pasted all the files from the Get to Work expansion and dragged and dropped the files from Get Together and City Living into the Sims 4 folder. Do you think this is the problem?

Yes and I still get the message

The latest pack/update (in this case v1.29) should be the last thing you will copy/drag to your Sims 4 game folder.

It will be. I wanted to make sure my game ran fine without it before adding it in so I've downloaded it but haven't installed it yet.

I'm having the exact same problem.

I fixed it  All I had to do was remove my sims 4 folder from my Documents.

I did that and it went to start but then it crashed, saying "Unable to start. Initialization error at start up."

Try the new temporary fix.

It's still giving me the same error.
