Sims 3 Expansion for Mac

I'm not sure if this topic has been addressed (or if there even a way for me to do this), but how do I install the expansion packs for Sims 3 on a Macbook? I've searched the boards for 'macbook', 'apple', 'mac', whatever I could think of to see if anyone has asked a question about this. I have a retail version of Sims 3, fyi.
