Sims 3 Error

Another The sims 3 Error: IT cuts off mid-game and stays on a black screen for about 5 minutes. Goes to a blue screen saying this program has crashed your graphics card. (ON A NEW DELL 15R Laptop) and it counts down to reboot and restarts the machine and game lost. HELP!

doesnt work... creates a new error saying the game cannot load please restart the application

Hello,
That your laptop is new doesn't say much about its graphics card. These cards are not made for gaming so its not weird to get unexpected errors at all.
Please make sure you can run the game by going here.

Hello,
Since its your graphics card that crashed, a fast pc means nothing. Which card does it have? Check it against this list.
Also, take another look at the link Admin gave you, specifically option 3.
Try lowering your in game video quality settings and screen resolution.
Laptops simply weren't meant for games. So even if its new and fast, that just means its great for what it is built for. The on board graphicscards are often lacking and are known to be incompatible with many games.

Intel HD Graphics/HD Graphics 3000 with up to 1.6GB Dynamic Video Memomy..

Hello,
According to this website, you should be able to run the base game comfortably on a 800x600 resolution with low to medium quality settings. The Pets expansionpack is a little more demanding.
So try lowering the quality settings ingame, see if that prevents graphicscard crashes.

play windowed mode...
you can edit the game config 'ini' files and try it.
