Troubles with Get to Work Careers after the most recent update [SOLVED]

Hi! Before I installed the latest update, I had uninstalled everything and deleted the files from Documents and the Programs and then installed everything again. I start up the game and it was working fine. I added up my CCs and some mods too and the game was working well. Now, the sim that I was playing had a Detective career and at his first day of job I decided to send him alone and when it was time for him to go to work, he didn't disappear. He was still in the lot and is controllable but the panel says that he's 'at work'. At first I thought that it was because of the mc command and so I took that mods out and then opened the game again but the same thing happened. 

Also, I found that the work time for the GTW careers are longer than it should be. The work time for the first level detective career was only supposed to be from 8 AM to 5 PM but the work time suddenly turned into 8 AM to 12 AM (which also made him earn more than he should in a day). I tried to check the info window that you get when your sim looks for a job and all GTW careers have work times 8 AM to 12 AM.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Did you take out all the mods or just the MCCC? If it's the latter, try moving the entire mods folder out and run the game. 

Recently a couple of simmers had issues with Get to Work careers as well and copy+pasting the update here somehow solved it. You can however, make your sim quit the job, and then get the same one to see if the problem is fixed. If not, use the cheat code(i know some simmers don't like to use cheats) to promote him/her and see if you are able to follow the sim then OR they finally went to work.


The timing wise, I'm not sure if it changed. Might need to check mine as well later on.

 I did, tried removing even my CCs but it was still the same. I also tried using the cheat code to promote him. When he got into Corporal, I thought everything was back to normal cause the work schedule was new but when I tried to send him alone, he still stayed on the lot and suddenly, his work time extended. 

I have installed that fix when I reinstalled my game, but I'll try installing the fix again to see if it works. 

EDIT: I tried it but it still didn't work

I just had my new sim get a job in a GTW career. I'll try to see if mine has the same problem as well.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Did you have the same problem? I am going to re-install everything and try to play after each installation to see where the problem starts.


EDIT: It seems like the problem indeed came from my mods folder. The GTW careers worked fine as I installed each game pack. I'm sorting out the files I have in my mod folder. Thanks
