Error starting up game after applying recent update. [SOLVED]

I installed the newest update for the sims 4 yesterday from G4TW and have done something wrong when adding it to my sims 4 files.

Now when I go to start up the game I get an error message saying 


''Unable to start:

The contents of your user data directory were created by a newer
version of The Sims 4 and cannot be loaded. Please update your game
via Origin to play''


I probably just made a simple mistake when adding the files from the new update to the current ones but I can't figure out how to fix the problem.

Can anyone help? 

Go to User\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4  (so not the one in Program Files)
In the folder \the Sims 4 look for the file GameVersion and delete it.
Now start your game
