Mods don't work

Hey guys,
So my problem here with mods.
first I didn't find the mods folder so I add it
But still it doesn't work 
I downloaded some mods and I put it in the mods folder but when I open the game the mods box doesn't show.

Where exactly did you create the mods folder? It should be in Documents, Electronic Arts/ The sims 4

Well I didn't installed it in this track but I created the mods folder inside sims4 folder

u must put ur mod file in correct directory Documents, Electronic Arts/ The sims 4

Dont forget to tick mod in game option setting

It's already ticked

Hello! Although I'm not basically an expert in mods and their compatibility with the game, I do know this: that if the mods don't show up in the latest version of Sims 4 you play or if it creates some type of error, it only means that the mods are most likely not updated to the latest version of the Sims 4. It does seem nice to have mods but in order to prevent errors in Sims 4, you can either ask the OP of the said mod or mods/ccs to update to the latest version of Sims 4 or play the game without it
