Screen Flickering Empty Screen Flickering

I've been away on holiday and before I left the Sims 4 was working perfectly but since coming back when I load the Sims 4 the screen flickers with white and black lines and shapes and I don't know why. Nothing has changed, I didn't take it with me and I haven't changed anything before starting the game.

Does anyone know why this could be happening?

It's possible that you need to update your video drivers, I'd give that a shot before trying anything else.
