Wont let me write in private journal

Everytime i try to use the privet journal with any of my sim, it says it need a surface space and a chair and there are places everywhere. When i went into build/buy mood and tried to place it in the spot where it needs i get an error and it deletes i even bought new ones and it does the same. I created a new game and it still does it

Hi,
Does this happen to every households? If not, it might be your current household. Else, move out your entire Sims 4 folder in Documents and run the game. If you have any mods, it might be the cause. If not, either you can re-install Parenthood followed by fitness, or re-install the entire game.
