I tried to patch the fix. When I fire up the game, this pops up. I'm pretty sure I did everything right.

Hello and welcome to the Forum,

Sorry for the belated reply; but do you still need help with that problem? What exactly have you been trying to install - just the base game, or maybe one of the expansions/stuffpacks as well?
