Crashing Sims 4 Empty Crashing Sims 4

Post by Guest Fri 28 Jul 2017, 20:08

Okay long story short... I've uninstalled and reinstalled the base game and the DLC's about 10 times now, since the toddler update. Every time either the origin problem, newer data problem, crashing, or something else has gone wrong. So I've uninstalled once more and started at just the base game. As of right now I only have the base game installed, no mods no DLC's, and it just keeps crashing. I deleted GameVersion.txt and applied the ultimate fix and still nothing.
Side note: 30 minutes ago when i had up to fitness installed, I would launch out of Game (not Game_) and it would be as if I only had the base game installed, and when I go to play it crashes. I've had these problems ever since the toddler update so I havent played in so long. Pls send help this way

Hi,

I'm curious. Did you install the ultimate fix because you wanted to only play with the base game? Or did you happen to install after the fitness update? If it's the second one, then the ultimate fix will actually delete any DLCs that you have.

  1. Are your drivers up to date? Check and make sure (even your graphics drivers) are up to date.
  2. Is your pc able to meet the minimum requirement for the game? If yes, adding more DLCs to the game will actually add more 'weight' or in this case memory usage.
  3. After re-installing the game, have you tested it with a fresh folder in Documents? (Move out or delete the folder, if you have not started any 'intense' playthrough)
  4. Try running the game in compatibility or windowed mode, and lowering the graphics settings as well. If you can't, or don't know how to run it in windowed mode, open Options.ini and change the fullscreen = 0
