First topic message reminder :
Thanks for this simplified version @tarac. I'm still a bit confused as to how updates will work alongside a legit game? If I'm understanding correctly, updating the game through legit Origin, will cause the ZlOrigin DLC to corrupt? Is there a way this can be avoided?

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
So quick question.
Would I have to delete G4TW Sims 4 (base and EP+SP+GP) in order to get parenthood from ZLOrigin, I have really bad internet and it takes me over 4 days just to download something that's 15GB
It would really suck to have to re-download everything.
Or can I just get parenthood from ZLOrigin and use G4TW version of The Sims 4??

When you do not have an official account on the real Origin and you have not made any previous installations for the Sims 4 via the real Origin, you can set the installation folder in ZLOrigin to be the install folder of your G4TW folder.Deadbydawn wrote:So quick question.

It will then check and only download the missing parts.

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
Hi! I'm sorry that I've come here for help instead of leaving a much deserved thank you note for all of your hard work, but this is the first time I've ever had a problem while following the instructions!
I had no problem creating the zloemu account or connecting to ZClient, I installed ZLOrigin and downloaded & installed the sims 4 base game, the expansion and game packs. Up to that point everything worked like magic. But then, when I tried to run the game, I got the dreadful "Origin isn't running" message which seems to be a common problem? I looked around the forum and found a couple solutions. I ended up with a file, "No Origin", something like that and the message was replaced by "Can't run program because of reasons" (sorry, can't really remember what the actual wording was but) it still wouldn't run.
So I kept looking. Someone mentioned the installation order of the Expansions, which I got had to be specific to the release date or something? Just in case it could be a problem I decided to uninstall and reinstall, but really, all I've mentioned so far took up a whole day and before I submit myself to the same pain twice I want to know if the order of the installation could really be the problem or if there's a much more simple solution that I merely didn't happen to find?
Thank you so much for your help and I'm sorry if my weird English doesn't make it any easier Have a great day!

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
In ZLOrigin there is no specific order besides that the base game must be installed first.
1. Do you have a genuine oigin account and if so close it in your taskbar and prevent it from running at system start.
2. Rightclick on the Sims 4 picture in ZLOrigin en select Repair

ZLOrigin now updated to version 1.31.37.1020 for the Sims 4.

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
I keep running into the 'crack will not work with this file' error. I shut off my antivirus and firewall, I shut off Origin, I moved my Sims folder, I uninstalled my Sims folder, I uninstalled Origin.... it just will not launch. I'm sure there's something super obvious I'm missing, please someone point it out to me (sob)
Edit: Rebooting seems to have fixed the issue... Why do I always wait until the very end before 'turning it off and on again'

ZLOrigin off-line
Some people do not like the use of ZLOrigin because they must always be online via Zclient.
Well, you can easily solve that problem
If you have not yet downloaded The Sims 4 + all DLC's via Zclient/ZLOrigin, then do so.
To solve this problem you can either:
OR
Copy the folder Default.ini from the Folder Game\bin to the folder Game-crack\Bin. You must repeat that after every new update of the game via ZLOrigin.
Well, you can easily solve that problem
If you have not yet downloaded The Sims 4 + all DLC's via Zclient/ZLOrigin, then do so.
- When your installfolder is within a folder Origin Games or Electronic Arts, MOVE the folder The Sims 4 to another location
In my example it's moved to an external drive Z and a folder Test Origin, but you're free to choose any disk or folder name. - Download the latest crack (at this moment Fitness), unpack with Winrar and rename the folder Game to Game Crack
- Now copy the folder Game Crack to the folder The Sims 4 on your new location (see item 1)
- Your new installfolder now has a folder Game as well as a folder Game Crack.
- Make new shortcuts from TS4.exe and/or TS4_x64.exe for your desktop from Game as well as Game Crack
- You can now choose to play via ZLOrigin/zclient online via the folder Game or offline via the folder Game Crack
- You can still update your game via ZlOrigin if you wish
Attention
As the cracked version and the ZLOrigin version are not always the same you will get an error "unable to start .... Update via Origin"To solve this problem you can either:
- Delete the file GameVersion from the folder User\Your username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and repeat this every time the error shows up.
OR
Copy the folder Default.ini from the Folder Game\bin to the folder Game-crack\Bin. You must repeat that after every new update of the game via ZLOrigin.

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
Any way of downloading of The Sims games (apart from the genuine Origin) is not legit, as simple as that.Sobelement wrote:wait, is this legit, and no problems from this sims version, i dont want to go through the whole process of downloading another version of sims that doesnt work and isnt legit, anyone other than the uploader can verify?
also, reading from comments, i cant play even im offline?, sometimes i dont have wifi, and it will suck if i cant play when i have a version from G4TW that doesnt have that problem and they have a legit forum and a bunch of supporters that can help if an issue comes up,
can you guys the ZLORIGIN team help us like they do? please understand my skepticism, no offense on you guys, just want to see if you guys can backup what your offersing, thank you
Yes, you can play the ZLOrigin game on-line as well as off-line by simply adding an additional Game-folder, such as copying your present G4TW Game folder renamed to f.e. Game cracked
(Copy your G4TW folder Game to your desktop, rename it to Game cracked and copy it to the folder where you installed the ZLOrigin version and make an additional shortcut)
And of course G4TW can help you as we usually do when you have questions.
We can always backup what we are offering, but in this case G4TW is not offering it but Zloemu (a group of hackers, like Reloaded).
We only tested it for reliability and virusses, like we always do before publishing on this forum.

I recall you asked/pointed out about this in an e-mail to me, but I didn't really have time get back to it in more detail. In general that sounds indeed a neat solution for the time being at least, and it would be great if that worked in future versions as well.
One thing that comes to my mind however is, have you - or someone else you know who plays the game - been able to verify the complete functionality of the game? I.e. adding the G4TW "Game"-folder to the zlOrigin TS4 installation, and then playing along and see how things go?

Also, why shouldn't it ?
The cracks in G4TW downloads contain the updates for the various EP/GP/SP details + adjustments in the base game.
Origin and ZLOrigin merely do the same things. Whilst cracks only try to avoid Origin, ZLOrigin cracked Origin. Basically they are exactly the same Game, cracked, Origin or ZLOrigin
Adding the folder Game cracked will of course conflict with the versions (cracked = 1.31 zlorigin nd origin = 1.32).
Copying the file Default.ini from Game to Game cracked solves that problem.
When one uses ZLOrigin, new DLC's will automatically be added. To continue off-line a new cracked version of the folder Game will be sufficient to play off-line.
Limiting downloads via G4TW to 1 MB max. instead of many GB's now.
Simply use ZLOrigin as some kind of a downloadagent instead of Vuze, bittorent, utorrent aso and also have the benefits of automatic updates/patches/repair for the game on-line and - when required - playing via Game cracked off-line.
Updates via ZLOrigin will still be effected in folder Game
In my view ZLOrigin offers a great many advantages for as long as it lasts. Should it ever finish we'll have to fall back again on groups like Reloaded, but meanwhile use it whilst it's there.

I was only speaking from a theoretical perspective and from my own experience, since it's not usually the case that you simply put an old .exe file into a newer installation of any program, and then be able to properly use it. At least I myself can't immediately think of any other program or game besides TS4, in which that method would work.
But it's good of course that it's working for this game here, which makes things easier.

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
It also worked for The Sims 2, but is no longer required as zloemu apparently added the crack to the ZLOrigin version.The_gh0stm4n wrote:Tarac wrote:Also, why shouldn't it ?

So The Sims 2 can be played on- and offline without any extra efforts.
As I stated earlier on in another thread, I still haven't managed to play the Sims 3 off-line.
With regards to the Sims 4
The downloaded verion upto fitness (1.31) and the Origin version 1.32 are almost equal.
When you start the game via Game cracked it shows version 1.31 as GameVersion in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
Starting via Game will show version 1.32, reason why I copied Default.ini from Game to Game cracked.to avoid the "unable to start, update via Origin" error.

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
Quick question: When I update and download games, ZLOrigin always says download failed but it'll show as if it's installed on my desktop? Does it just regularly do that or did I do something wrong (I don't have the original Origin on my desktop anymore)?

Re: ZLOrigin made simple - comments.
So if I use ZLOrigin will I be able to access the Gallery also?
