Electronic Arts Help [SOLVED]
I have downloaded the sims game and all is in working order and i'm very happy, thank you! However, there is no sims 4 folder that in my electronic arts folder, where it is supposed to be. This means I can't add mods or retrieve old saves from previous versions.
I was wondering if I have done something wrong? I followed all instructions, I've opened the game and still the folder is not located under Documents/Electronic Arts

Hi there and welcome to the forum!
By opening the game, you did at least let it load to the main menu, right? If yes, and you're using Win 10, do check if you have OneDrive enabled. If not, then create a random sim, save and quit the game. Your folders should appear at Documents\EA\The Sims 4.

I have done all of this already, but to no avail. Should I attempt to re-install?

Re: Electronic Arts Help [SOLVED]
I don't think there's any issues with your installation since the game is running perfectly. Try searching for Sims 4 at your file explorer. Also, make sure that show hidden files box is checked under 'view' at the toolbar.Radicula wrote:I have done all of this already, but to no avail. Should I attempt to re-install?

Re: Electronic Arts Help [SOLVED]
I've checked all this and still nothing. I have backup folders saved in my downloads of this same folder from a previous version of the game, could this be interfering?

Re: Electronic Arts Help [SOLVED]
No, by default, the game would save everything to your Documents. Unless you change the save data location for all/most programs. You can try however to rename the folder and see if your game can create a new one.
If you'd like you can install TeamViewer and I'll see if your folder is 'hidden' somewhere.

Re: Electronic Arts Help [SOLVED]
You can also rename the backup folder, IF it somehow conflicts as well. Okay, just give the the ID/PW after you're done. Either here or in PM.Radicula wrote:I've renamed the electronic arts folder, is this what you mean? I'll download teamviewer now
Curious, is your save files getting detected though?

Re: Electronic Arts Help [SOLVED]
My save files are being detected, but not from the back up files, just the saves I have made on the current version.
