Game not starting after installing Sims 4 toddlers [SOLVED]
I have installed all the sims 4 expansions. after installing fitness stuff, i could stil play the game perfectly. But after installing Toddlers, my game suddenly doesn't start anymore. The app appears in my taskbar for 1 second and then it dissapears again.. I have tried to run the TS4.exe and the TS4_x64.exe both normally and as administrator. And i have also tried starting it after doing the code 3 error fix. Stil not working.

SOLVED.. i researched the forum and I had to copy all documents from the newest game folder and place them in the previous game folder and change that renamed older game folder back to game. Don't understand how that would fix it but it did.. xd

I don't know which guide you were using but in the MUST READ section, https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly# it is clearly described.Ohahyeah wrote:OMG!! The guide doesnt tell you to eventually remerge toddlers stuff with your last game folder -- only to rename or get rid of itPolarbear wrote:I don't know which guide you were using but in the MUST READ section, https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly# it is clearly described.Ohahyeah wrote:OMG!! Re: Game not starting after installing Sims 4 toddlers [SOLVED]
Hello,
The guide indeed did not mention any re-merging of any sort to an older Game folder. Simply put, the renaming of the Game folder is to fix the endless loading after the Vampire update. And after that, for installing Parenthood till Toddler's Stuff, one should simply copy + paste as per normal, and this includes the Game folder. Newer users might get confused about this, especially when they assume everything is copy + paste.
This, could be interpreted as perhaps the user did not rename the Game folder before hand, and if so, this was her workaround. If you had followed the rename method, bt now, you should have 1) Game and 2) Game_ inside your Sims 4 installation folder. Alternatively, you can delete the Game_ folder should you feel confused on which 'Game' to use. The only 'sure-fire' way is to have a shortcut on your desktop and check where the path location is at. It should be at all times point to Program Files(x86)\The Sims 4\Game.
I'll be closing this topic for now. Should any of you have further questions or a bug(s) in-game, feel free to open a new topic.
Till then, cheers and enjoy the game.
