Sims 4 Crashes: "Sims 4 has stopped working" error during CAS

Hi. I am having a constant problem with the game crashing. I have fumbled through many posts and done many things trying to fix this problem. The only thing is, no one has apparently had the same issue as I have. I run the game on a gaming laptop with Windows 10 and have everything downloaded that you guys have made available including the Ultimate Fix. When first starting a new game, CAS works great while creating the sim(s) all the way to the end. But after moving them into a house is when the "fun" begins. When editing the neighborhood or entering CAS mode after gameplay has started, the game crashes... every time. In CAS mode, it crashes in the middle of editing. When trying to edit a house in the neighborhood, it will let you fully edit with no problems but then when returning to the town screen, it crashes during loading. I am wondering if there is something I missed in these forums or if my problem is totally different from everyone else's.

Remember, this is only for people who have a slow internet (and cannot easily download the main DLC for the game) and/or slower computers. If you want to install DLC for The Sims 4, DO NOT USE THIS THING. Instead, please follow the guide here instead:

When you applied the Ultimate fix, inspite of all warnings that this fix is for the base game only, you seem to have "lost" all previously installed DLC's.
This can be solved easily:

1. Open the download of your highest installed DLC
2. Open the folders Game and Bin and copy the file RldOrigin.ini to your desktop
3. Now open your installation folder, f.e. Program Files\The Sims 4
4. Again go to Game -> Bin and copy RldOrigin.ini from your desktop to the folder Bin overwriting the existing file.

All installed DLC's are back again updated to version 1.33.

Ah yes, I did that and honestly I did not even pay attention to the Base-Game warning lol. I have some lots that I took off of the Community Gallery before I uninstalled my bought version to install G4TW version. They were in my town and not saved to the Gallery and I was using a previously saved game. Other than that, no mods/CC for my game. Could this be the problem? If so, this stinks as I had some pretty cool houses in that Neighborhood.

I am going to try a new game without the houses and see what happens. Perhaps that will fix this. I will miss those cute houses though  . I will let you guys know how it goes.

Hi there,

Any luck with running the game without the houses? If that is the cause however, any saves with the houses built/placed will not be able to load/work properly. Most probably due to a different game version.
