The sims 3 has stopped working error

hello.
I downloaded some of the new expansions for the sims 3 including island paradise and now when i try to make a new game it crashes.. I've followed all the steps correctly and did the ultimate fix twice and its still not working. I don't have any mods either. and before the game starts i get and error say that i have an unofficial game modification but dont have any mods.. Pleease help:( :newfag:

Please go to My Documents/Electronic Arts and rename the folder "The Sims 3" into anything you like.
After that, please re-do the steps from 2 to 4 here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
Do the steps exactly as they are described. Good luck and let us know how it went !

I did that too and it still didnt work... 
I dont know if this helps but my base game and half the expansions are games that i bought and the other half of the expansions are downloaded..
