Unable to start game in 64 Bit. Empty Unable to start game in 64 Bit.

Post by Guest Sun 12 Nov 2017, 15:10

Hi Everyone,

I have followed the instructions to install the latest Cats and Dogs patch.

I fired it up in the 64bit exe and it works fine without issue for the first time. However after I save and close the game, I am unable to log into the game using the 64 bit exe again.

I am getting the error "Origin is currently not running. Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play The Sims 4"

I had moved "The Sims 4" folder to C:\Programs\as instructed by the instructions and had deleted the folders in C:\Programs (x86)\

When I run the 32 bit exe, I am able to play without issues.

I am running Windows 10 Home edition.

Just wondering if anyone will know what is causing my 64 bit to run into the error.

Have you tried starting the game as administrator? I had the same error the first time I tried to start it, but since I did it has been working without that error.

Hello and welcome to the Forum @xenoboi7,

Have you made the necessary "exclusions" in Windows Defender and/or your third-party anti-virus? Check the guide here for an introduction:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t18501-unable-to-start-initialization-error-at-startup-updated-on-11-9-2015

If you just have Windows Defender and no other security software, maybe try disabling the Defender by one of the methods shown here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t32067-two-ways-of-disabling-windows-defender-under-windows-10

After doing so, fetch the latest No-Origin files and apply them. Now try the game again. Good luck!
