Spontaneous Origin Error?

I haven't had the dreaded "Make sure Origin is open" error since Outdoor Retreat, and honestly, I have no idea why it's happening now. Two days ago I was playing Cats and Dogs perfectly fine, CC working flawlessly, and the game was having no problems whatsoever. However, my Avast asked me to restart my computer, so I just postponed it to "next century" or whatever it says. I cut my computer off that night, got back up the next morning, and tried to boot up S4 again. It was taking a very long time to boot, usually taking around 3-5 minutes, while this took well over 20 minutes for it to even register that the game was on. I was awarded with a black screen, a "Not Responding" error and the game crashing with the mentioned "Must have Origin open" error. Thinking it was my anti-virus, I made sure all my exceptions were secure (they were, by the way) and re-installed Cats & Dogs. No luck, same lengthy boot time and the Origin error. I looked on here and installed the latest update. Still, nothing. Got rid of all my CC, nothing. Did a complete reinstall! Nothing. Please help, I have no idea what's happening or how to fix it. My only anti-virus is Avast, and Wincdows Firewall has been turned off since you guys' release of S4 has been out.
