Lost all around on sims 4. Empty Lost all around on sims 4.

Hi....I am new to the game world as I only played sims 2 and 3 as a child and now I am here for sims 4 due to a childhood friend telling me about her roommate was able to get sims 4 which is how I am here today. The roommate gave me instructions ,but I am now stuck and she is on a road trip and I do not want to intrude on her vacation. I have a 7 zip drive and I am stuck on the extracting files part I am just lost.

For the G4TW downloads you need Winrar and not 7 zip
