Can't install the Sims 3 expansion packs

Hi! I’m kind of new to this whole thing and also don’t have a lot of experience in downloading stuff from the internet so I really hope there is someone out here who can help me with this..

I recently downloaded the complete Sims 3 package with the main game and all the expansions, I also downloaded the complete store. When I tried to follow the steps on the forum how to install the game I hit a problem really fast. When I click the installer nothing happens. I don’t get a error message or anything, just nothing happens.

I think it has something to do with that I’m using a Macbook and there are .exe files. Does anybody know what the problem could be? And is there any way for me to play the Sims or is this a lost cause.. I’m looking for the least complicated way possible haha.

So I could finally install the game, but I now have a problem installing the expansion packs. I filled in the codes and everything but when I hit "install' it says that the version is not compatible with my version of the Sims.. Does anyone have a solution?
