Sims 4 New CC won't show up/ Sims won't eat/ Won't 'Travel'

Hey guys!
Ever since the cats and dogs update I've been having big issues with custom content; every old piece of cc i've downloaded is showing up in the game with no issue, however every piece of new content I've installed in the game isn't showing up at all. 
I've had no issues in the past and I've checked my mods folde with Mod Detector to ensure there's no conflicts/unwanted files. I als only work with the one Mod folder and have no sub folders, and have disabled One Drive.
My sims are also not responding when I try to get them to travel, and they will not eat/cook.

PS. I am currently downloading the Laundry update and patch- will this perhaps help?

I tried this and ran the options for Pets, and now I have lost majority of my Mods and CC that were originally working!   
I used the "UPDATE Cas CC pets patch" in the batch fixes, and it has left me with 1/5 of the mods i had in game, my mods are still in my folder but are now not showing up in the game.

You have not lost them, as sims4Studio creates a backup folder. Just go there and re-install them. ( Copy /paste. But that all your mods are gone is something that never happened to me. The studio fixes the broken mods and keeps the original in that backup folder. Did you only run the batch fixes? Not the one to do with thumb nails.
