CC is gone in the game, but appears in shop/build modus

After i installed the latest 3 pack: laundry, jungle and pets stuff, i opened my game, enabled the option for mods, saved and closed and then opened it again. I noticed that my household was still lacking in CC. ALL the cc was gone, but it is available in the shop/build modus. I checked another house, and the CC is there, but all those sims are bald. I downloaded the latest patch.update that i thought was going to fix this CC problem, but it didnt. What now????? It totally messed up my game, sims and their houses.

I had already tried tu place an old tray folder i had and replaced it with the new one, but it didnt work. I have restarted my game already like 6 times, but it stays the same. HELP!

Sounds like your Options.ini file may have been corrupted. The best otion you have is to force the game to refresh itself.

First make a backup of the Sims 4 folder (My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4) and save it somewhere safe.

The easiest way to make the game refresh itself is to rename the Sims 4 folder (i.e. The_Sims_4_Backup) and then launch the game. This forces the game to recreate all the files and folders. After the game fully loads you can close it and copy your saves, mods and tray back to the new folder from the backup.

The "modder" way is a bit slower but is often preferred as you don't have to re-copy your saves, mods and tray files back. Go to the Sims 4 folder and delete all of the files in the following folders: Cache, Cachestr, Cachewebkit (whole folder if found) and Onlinethumbnailcache.  Then delete the following files from the main folder: Config.log , event.ini , localthumbnailcache.package , ReticulatedSplines , ReticulatedSplinesView , and Options.ini . Now launch the game and redo any game options you had before.

Hm.. Thanks for the answer! I actually have already build up my home like before. I changed the bald sims in town through the household menu. Since my main household was the only house with this problem, i assume the other builds in town are fine. I checked 2 and they were fine. What can i do best next time before i install another pack? Save the documents/electronic arts folder AND the the sims 4 folder wherever it is installed? And then do the above?

Normally the only file you might need to recreate is the localthumbnailcache.package when you add items and/or mods.

It is Always a good idea to backup The Sims 4 folder whenever your adding new packs and mods.
