Cats and Dogs will not install

I am having issues with installing Cats and dogs.

Here are the steps I have taken. 


I have already had game installed and working up to Cats and Dogs.
The game is not under EA. ( C:\Users\MyPC\Desktop\The Sims 4 games )

Downloaded Cats and dogs.
Tried moving files
Tried coping files
Tried second mirror link
Tried copying files
Tried moving files
Removed game folder
Tried coping mirror 2 files
Tried moving mirror 2 files
Deleted Game_ folder
Tried coping mirror 2 files
Tried moving mirror 2 files
Found a guy in forums with a Game only folder downloaded it and Tried copied and tried moving it


I still have no Cats and Dogs. I have to be doing something wrong but I am not sure what.

Did you extract the downloaded folder with Winrar ?

Welcome to the Forum @JustNeeNee,

I'm not sure if it is really necessary, but I would still suggest you rename your installation folder of The Sims 4, from "The Sims 4 games" to ==> The Sims 4. Also, which "mirror links" exactly are you referring to? This here maybe?

Note that this topic ALWAYS contains the latest folders, as of now patch version 1.42.30.1020. But you can find a "Game"-folder for Cats & Dogs as well as for all earlier DLC, toward the bottom of the thread.

So it is now not 0200 so I am thinking a bit more clear. I realize the shortcut I was using was to the old game_ folder not game. So I got excited and went into the new game folder to see if this resolved my install issues but am getting error:


Unable to Start 
Cannot start because required game data is missing or damaged. Please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.

Can you now re-copy and re-paste the contents of the "Cats & Dogs" DLC, over your Sims 4 installation? Maybe something went wrong during your previous attempts to fix the problem, and you accidentally deleted or modified something that you were not supposed to...
