How to change the e-mail? [SOLVED]

Hey!
I don't know why but I can't change my e-mail address
Everytime I tried, it says that I have to change my password too but when I changed that, my e-mail hasn't changed...
Could anybody help me?

Hello @Buttercup,
Have you tried clearing your bowser's cache and cookies? Press CTRL + (L)SHIFT + DELETE in your browser, and in the next window that comes up, choose cookies and cache. Wait until it's done, close the browser, and re-start. Then try changing your e-mail address again.

Hello @Buttercup,

yes I tried it but it didn't work the error message says that I have to "complete all required fields" (?)
I'm german so actually it says "Sie müssen alle Pflichtfelder ausfüllen"

Now this is strange: I just tested it again on my own account, and I was able to change the e-mail with no problems whatsoever. When you change your e-mail here.

You "just" have to type your new e-mail address in the box there. THEN you scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click on "Save". After which you get this here:

Is this what you did? I myelf don't need a password to change the e-mail, and I doubt this is different for regular users. But maybe I'm wrong here...

Maybe that's a glitch in the Forum software. Alright, then I guess Edin will have to change the e-mail address for you later on.

I am having the exact same problem as the O.P. I missed the recent update announcement because I thought I had changed my email, but apparently it did not take. I even tried modifying my password, as it was demanding that I fill in "required fields" that were already filled, and, though it indicated success with the password, the old email remained. I did not want to start a new topic, as this is the exact same issue. Hope that's OK.

I deleted my previous reply here, because I may have found a solution. I totally "forgot" that last year we implemented a small change to reduce the likelihood of spambots registering on the Forum here. Namely, that new users need to fill in the fields "operating system" and "favorite games" during registration.
Nothing changes for old users, who registered prior to the introduction of the new change. They can still login and post. However, if they wanted to change anything about their profile, they would need to fill in those fields as well.
What that means for you, please try going under your profile, and put something in here, under platform & favorite games.

Then try changing your e-mail again; it's a suspicion from me only at this point, but please give it a try.

You are welcome! Though I wish we had come up with that solution sooner, but better late than never I guess.
You also need to know, that in the 8+ years that this particular Forum is open now, no such measure has ever been necessary (that users need to fill in some lines in their profiles). But due to an attack by some vicious spambots last year, we introduced this small change.Alright, have fun again! Problem solved, topic closed.
