Is it possible to install the Sims 3 - The Complete Store on D drive?
Hi,
I have a question about the Sims 3 complete store download. In the installation guide, the first step is this:
1. Copy and paste the folders "DCBackup", Downloads", "Library" and "Mods" into the following location on
your computer: C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.
Now my problem is, is that my C drive is completely full. I have my Sims 3 base game and all the expansion and stuff packs (the complete collection pack) on my D drive.
Now my question is if I can install the complete STORE on my D drive instead of C drive? If yes, how? Do I just copy and past the folders "DCBackup", Downloads", "Library" and "Mods" into the folder of my sims 3 base game located in the D drive?
I really want the complete store but my C drive is full and I can't do anything about it
I'm looking forward to your response.

Where is your Documents folder located? On the C: drive (C:\Users\User\Documents) or the D: drive (D:\Users\User\Documents)? If it is located on D: then yes you can place the complete store files on your D: drive, just replace the reference to C: in the instructions with D: (i.e. D:\Users\User\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3).
If the Documents folder is on C: you might want to move it to D:, it will give you more space on C: and doesn't have any system impact. You can google "how to move my documents to another drive" if your not already familiar with how to move it.

A bit late of a reply, but it's not a bad idea (even after moving the Documents-folder to D: ) to ensure you have some "cushion" on the C: drive. A.k.a. make sure to have a couple of GBs of free hard-drive space in order to maintain general system stability.
