Infinite Save Screens are ruining the florists dream!

I can't save my games after entering/exiting build mode! I commented before on the thread about infinite loading screen but thatst sorted itself. But I did have to start a brand new save game with a new sim. I moved her into the smaller lot in Brindleton Bay, by the vet clinic. Saved the moment we loaded into the lot and it worked fine. Made her do some fishing and then went back to the lot to add some traits. Saved from build/buy, and it was an infinite save screen. Ctrl+alt+deleted and closed the game. Tried again, this time I tried going out of build/buy and saving in live mode. Same thing happened... Infinite save screen. I played all day yesterday after installing the latest patch and it worked perfectly, no issues whatsoever. I just wanna arrange some damn flowers!

Any cc in your game ?

None! When the infinite loading screen was happening, I'd downloaded some CC free houses from The Sims Resource but I took those out of the game completely when I was trying to fix the load screens. I turned all mods and CC off just in case when I started a brand new game. 

I've just uninstalled and reinstalled everything so I'm going to see if that works, but I haven't installed the latest patch just in case. But I HAD installed it and it was working fine all day and then yesterday it wasn't

In my experience that issue can also be caused by glitched-out savefiles, see #3 here:
