Not starting Data Directory/ Game data missing

Heya! I recently downloaded get to work and tried to install it, I followed the instructions and when I clicked on the sims 4 it gave me the 'Unable to start: The contents of your user data directory were created by a newer version of the sims 4 and cannot be loaded. please update your game via Origin to play' error. So I browsed the forums looking for help and tried removing the GameVersion.txt file like everyone said but now I get the 'cannot start because required game data is missing or damaged.' error. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Install every DLC you've had before.

OR

Delete "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4". All your mods/CC/saves will be gone but it will work for sure. (or just rename it)
