Can't enable mods in game options

Hello, so I've been trying to get my sims game to work. after installing My First Pet and seasons, I was unable to allow the use of mods. it tells me to restart after making the changes but after several tries, It just acts like I didn't even select it.

Delete "Game" folder from your Sims 4 installation directory and download fresh one from here.

If it doesn't help try this and post the result here.

I meant here in this topic. Just to be clear: you check option to use CC and scripts, and after restart it is unchecked?

To clean up delete "_game", "game-_---", "game_-", "game_", "game____" and "gameold2" folders. This probably won't help, but try it and report result.

Next thing you can do is restore default options.

I removed the files and still nothing. How would I restore default options?

Just open options in game. There is a button to reset options on bottom left.

If that still doesn't help go to "Documents\Electronic Arts" and rename "The Sims 4" folder. Run the game, change options and see if they get saved. If yes, move mods and saves from renamed folder to new one.
