Not being able to play households

My game loads and then takes me to world select. I try and play one of my households and it doesn't work? There was and error message (I don't remember it) before saying that I should restart my game but I did that multiple times and it still doesn't work.
If I try create a new household it loads then let's me pick a house/apartment then once i do that it loads again and takes me back to the world select?! This was after downloading the 1.44.88.1020 update?

Try running your game without any CC and mods. Go to "Documents\Electronic Arts" and rename "The Sims 4" to "The Sims 4_". The game will re-create this folder so if you want to get your saves, mods and CC back just delete "The Sims 4" and rename "The Sims 4_" to "The Sims 4".

If that solves your problem it means some mods or CC are breaking your game. SimsVIP has a list of broken/updated mods, Sims 4 Studio can fix most of CC.
