I have already a copy of the sims 4 can I download this version?

Hi everyone,
my question may be stupid, but last year I downloaded The sims 4 on another platform. I have the version 1.25.136.1020 up to the city living expansion. I was wondering if I want to update it , do I have to redownload everything here? Or can I start the download from where I'm missing ?
I don't to lost my game saves if the versions are not compatible!
