Game Lags please helpp

Hello,
I want to record sims 4 game play for my YouTube channel but every time I press record my game starts to lag. When I am not recording my game doesn't lag. 
Can you help me please?

Encoding video takes a lot of your computer resources. You can decrease video quality in your recording program and see if it helps.

Many people streaming videos in high quality have 2 PCs or at least 2 GPUs. Use one for gaming and one for streaming. Just google "obs second gpu" and see for yourself.
