Re: Uninstalling
Open the register by pressing the Windowskey and R
Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Open SOFTWARE
Open Maxis and delete the folder The Sims 4
When you have 64 bits Windows open WOW6432Node
Open Maxis and delete the folder The Sims 4
Close the Register
Delete the install folder (often C:\Program Files\The Sims 4)
Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Open SOFTWARE
Open Maxis and delete the folder The Sims 4
When you have 64 bits Windows open WOW6432Node
Open Maxis and delete the folder The Sims 4
Close the Register
Delete the install folder (often C:\Program Files\The Sims 4)

i have deleted the install folder from C and Documents after writing this, is it normal that i cant find register files? Would it cause any problems to just install rn?Tarac wrote:Open the register by pressing the Windowskey and R

If you wanted to re-install the game anyhow, I would have said you can leave those registry files.
And if you can't find registry files, you can still re-install. I think these newer EA games work, without this single registry entry. Typically the game will start in English then. Only if you wanted to switch display languages, you'd need fresh registry entries.
But those can be easily provided here, and downloaded, later on too.

Re: Uninstalling
Hi,
I didn't quite understand... I too want to uninstall, but not to reinstall after. I have used the "uninstall" application, in the "the sims 4" folder, and the uninstallation was apparently successfull, but the folder remains, and it takes room on my computer. How can I do to erase everything on my computer ? (Sorry if my English is bad, and don't hesitate to ask if I'm not clear). I suck in computer stuff, so don't hesite to be very specific...
Thank you very much for your help !

Re: Uninstalling
After the Uninstall simply delete the The Sims 4 folders in Program Files and (if you want to delete your own houses, sims etc as well) in Documents\Electronic Arts.

Adding to the above comments, most modern DRM-free games can simply be "un-installed", by moving the installation folder elsewhere, or deleting it altogether.
