For example, when you might click a computer usually a menu pops up with options.  In game, I am currently unable to have the pie menu pop up.  It is not happening with other items.

At first, I assumed it was because I recently got some new CC which adds to cmputer menus, including basemental's drugs mod.  I disabled cc and started up the game again, and the problem persisted.

So, I looked through my install process again; I discovered I had not installed the recent update correctly as I had missed installing seasons and my first pet stuff.  So, I went back and for whatever reason reinstalled jungle adventure, then my first pet stuff, then seasons, and then installed the new update (1.46).  I opened the game with mods disabled and the problem continues to persist.

I see in help topics people frequently post like "validator results" but I'm not sure what the validator is and could not find it through search, if anyone could provide me a link I'll post the results ASAP.


Thanks!  I could uninstall and fully reinstall the sims 4 using the all in one that's on the update post, but I would prefer not to if I can avoid it.

Delete those files:
game/bin/core/winhttp.dll
game/bin/rldorigin.dll
game/bin/rldorigin.ini
game/bin/rldorigin_ext.dll
game/bin/rldorigin_x64.dll
game/bin/rldorigin_x64_ext.dll

And to clean up delete all folders inside "The Sims 4\SP02" and "The Sims 4\SP10".

Since these issues seem to come up quite often, maybe it's worth noting that BEFORE you paste (new) update files over your Sims 4 installation, to look if any folders inside the installation are "marked/highlighted". If you one-click on any folder it will by default be marked with a light blue shade.

If one folder (or more) is marked in such a way, and you then CTRL + V or move the new update files into the installation, the system thinks you want to paste/move the stuff into that one single folder that is marked...which we don't want of course.

You can easily "unmark" all folders by one-clicking into the white space toward the right. After which pasting & moving stuff should go flawlessly.
