The Sims 3 stopped working

My game works just fine, but from time to time it closes and windows says that sims 3 stoped working and it will try to find a solution, something like that. Sometimes I can play for hours without this error, other times it does that after some time. It's kind of frustrating cause I lose all my progress if I don't save it regularly.
