Moving the Sims 4 Mod folder
Will the relink method for relocating The Sims 4 Mod Folder work the same was as for The Sims 3? (found on the forum title, "Redirecting the username folder "The Sims 3" to a different location.").
I am crunching space and the relinking the Sims 3 folder helps, but I also need to do the same for the MODS for my Sims 4.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Moving the Sims 4 Mod folder
Yes, it will work. You can create junction folder instead of a link - just use "/j" flag instead of "/d". Creating junction doesn't need administrator rights. But both should work fine.
You can also move the whole Documents folder. Don't remember how to do it in Win 7 but in 8 and 10 you just right click on Documents -> Properties -> Location and change it there.

Re: Moving the Sims 4 Mod folder
Thanks for the reply.
I'm a bit fuzzy on the concept.
Do I make the Junction folder first? EX: D:\The Sims 4 then do the Documents -> Properties -> Location right click changing? EX: Documents > (Would I want to got to The Sims 4 Folder?) > Properties. Then Click "Move" and select the folder I just made? (Note that my version had OneDrive in the address, not sure if it will be an issue) (I can not stand OneDrive personally.
Or is it like this: EX mklink /j "C:\Users\myname\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" "D :\The Sims 4"
Sorry about the questions. I don't want to screw anything up.
Thanks in advance

Re: Moving the Sims 4 Mod folder
I presented you two options. Use only one of them.
Option 1 - junction:
Move "The Sims 4" folder from "C:\Users\myname\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts" to "D:\" and then run
Option 2 - move whole Documents folder:
Right click on Documents -> Properties -> Location and change it there. Choose to move files when prompted.
