I have a partitioned drive, putting windows in C: and games in E:

I installed the sims 3 in my E: drive, contrary to what the installation guide says. When installing expansions, will the default install just figure it out? if not, where do I install?

Install in the same directory The Sims 3 on your E: drive

Welcome to the Forum,

Yes, you'll need to manually choose the E: drive when installing each expansion/stuffpack. Just bear in mind as well that...it's strongly recommended you create all necessary subfolders beforehand. See this here:

And because I saw this under your profile information:

This is a required field because it is an anti-spam measure. Having these fields to fill out manually greatly reduces the likelihood of spambots making their way here, though it's not a 100% guaranteed way of keeping the spambots out. You're not required to put anything specific in the field either; as long as it doesn't break any Forum Rules just put any text in this field.

Ah right, that makes sense. And thanks for the advice but I just decided to bite the bullet and install to C: anyway.
