Sims 3 installation error Empty Sims 3 installation error

Hi, I downloaded the files for the game but when I try to install the base game on Windows 10 this error shows up.

Hello and welcome to the Forum,

You should try extracting the contents of the .rar file, into a fresh folder, for example on the desktop. Because of the size of the .rar file, this can take a little while to complete. But once it's done, go to the folder with the extracted stuff, and re-run the installer from there.
