Sims 4 Last Exception (KeyError: 'slot_component')

I downloaded The Sims 4 - Island Living the moment G4TW released it, and I've been playing it with no problem until yesterday.
I got a message that one of the area in Sulani is improved to the max or something. 
My sim was at a different area at that time, so when I went to check out the improved area I suddenly got The Last Exception message from MCCC.

I removed all CC/mods including MCCC, then downloaded Better Exception to check out what it the last exception was about, and it says the following in the picture. I checked out the EA HQ Bug and searched for thread that discuss this problem but I couldn't find any

I've been on the MCCC discord server chatting with multiple people about it, and the consensus over there is that it's almost definitely and EA thing, that they're gonna have to fix.  The problem being, no one really knows what is causing it at the moment.

I've been doing a bit of testing in my game, trying to reproduce it, and hopefully finding a workaround to fix my save.  And while i can't reproduce the issue, i have noticed some differences in the ones without the error.

Firstly, like you, i was in a different area when i got the fully restored pop up, then the LE's started when i traveled back to the conservation islands.

Secondly, on my bugged save, i never got a notification about the turtles hatching the day after the fully restored pop up.  That happened the day after in all my other test saves, and they got no LE's.

Out of interest did you ever get a notification about turtles hatching event on the beach?  It's seeming likely to me, that this event failing to spawn could be causing it.  But i don't know a thing about LE's, that's just from my observation.

Edit:  If you have an earlier save, from before you got the fully restored pop up. Then you might want to revert back to that one and make sure when you get the pop up again that you are on the right islands.  I'm not positive that will work, but it doesn't hurt to try it.

Once you get these LE's, they just never seem to stop unfortunately.

You'll need TwistedMexi's AllCheats mod.....


Make sure you are on the Conservation islands


Open console and use the cheat 
Narrative.Start_Narrative Narrative_IslandConservation_Stage_Intermediate
That will put you back one quest stage in the Restoration.


Then use the cheat
Narrative.Start_Narrative Narrative_IslandConservation_Stage_Final
That will complete the restoration again.


That fixed the LE's for me and i've not had another one since.
