Sims have no wants/need bubbles!

Since my last update to Strangerville, all of the need/want bubbles disapeared.
I did a massive update to Strangerville from My Pet Things. And the wants/needs have been gone. Was this a normal update? Or is this a bug?

You need to turn whims on in options. https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/11/sims-are-missing-their-whims/
