SIMS 3 pets, not working with fix

Hello!
I am a massive sims fan...and sims 3 has been giving me headaches!
I have (all original disks) non downloaded copies of Sims 3 (base), World adventures, ambitions and NOW as of yesterday Sims 3 Pets.
I have searched your forum...and im not sure if im blind and cant find it.....your fix, i downloaded...however there is nothing there about sims 3 pets...only the master suit with pets included with it....i tired the fix, however it didnt seem to work...im not sure if there isn't an update for sims 3 pets (stand alone expansion pack). Im giving that manual patch a go (currently downloading) are you able to assist?
I REALLY want to play sims 3 pets *sigh*

To answer your final question first: no that doesn't matter normally, it could be a problem if you got your original games from Steam, or your base is a deluxe version.
From what you're writing, I think you assumed the file from the Generations, Town Life Stuff, Pets & Master Suite stuff folder in the fix is a crack. It isn't. Those are original files needed to patch the game.
If your game is up to date to version 1.29, you can apply step 13 again. This is applying the crack to the base game bin. In the fix, find the folder called #crack.
Please try this and let us know the result.

I basically added the mastersuit / pets to the base game folder....assuming it was the same as the step on the fix video for generations etc? Is this where i've gone wrong? Is there a way i can take them out?
So to put it into dumb terms for me......the ONLY thing i do is add the crack to the base game....(its up to date to 1.29).
The games are store bought from an auzzie retailer

Hello,
The one you added to the base game folder is not a crack, its an original file. If you open the fix, and copy the files from the #crack folder to the base game bin, your game should work.

Hi.....i have done as you said...it loads...goes into the game...then crashes..... Hmmm...i really dont get what's going on...

Are you sure it is the latest fix? Are you getting an error as you start the game? What is your base game version?

Hi
the version is 1.29. I dont get an error when it starts up....the latest fix i found was after clicking another thread that said it was the latest fix (january).
I do however after 2 seconds in the game get the error

It wouldnt matter if its on a laptop would it? Do laptops fail to run sims? (i have a very high tech laptop...so its not that, that's the issue.....)

Hello,
You could check here to make sure. Laptops don't fail to run The Sims by definition, but its possible that your graphicscard is incompatible with TS3 Pets. If this website tells you your laptop passes, you can also see if your graphicscard is listed here.
Also, doublecheck to make sure your game is, in fact, 1.29.
