What would you want as a new The Sims 4 DLC/features?

For me it will be a farm themed one.
It would add horses, cows, chickens, gooses, woohoo in a haystack etc.
And it should come with an appropriate neighborhood, give us the chance to fully live the farm life. It's something I've been wanting to see since we got horses and other store content with the farm theme for Sims 3.

I edited the thread in order to add a poll to it.   Now since at least two options are needed for a poll...I'll just say something like Winter sports with snowboarding, skiing, ski resorts, etc.

In case there are more ideas, you can add further options to the poll by clicking on "Edit" in your post, and then scrolling down. Using the poll functions should be self-explanatory.

Transport. Taxis, cars or even just walk to a community lot (like in ts2) 
One of the biggest turnoffs in the sims 4 is the lack of transport. In every other sims game there was transport, even since the first The Sims came out. And now with ts4 they think fast travel is fun. Not at all. I really hate that zippythezap thing and poof you're on location. Give at least some taxis.

they might add it with the famous pack. what sim wants to walk to the location, gimme a flashy limo or sports car hah.

I think STAIRS, Foundations, Round Walls and Lakes (Build DLC) should be in that pooling ... God Lord I feel so frustrated that no love was given to Stairs in the Sims 4.

Have you tried clicking on "Edit", in your first post here? Then scroll down a little bit, and you should find an option to add more poll questions/items/options. After adding these, click on "Send" as if you were submitting a post.

Just checked permissions, you should be able to do that. 

I would like to see a DLC pack called Sims going to school that includes, elementary, high school and college. Options to send your kids to boarding school and you can attend with them .

What about making it possible for sims to swim in the ocean  I miss that a lot

How about something that has been said for a while but never realized in the game. Neighborhoods that you can walk around/discover without any loading screens?

how interesting to see the openworld the least voted for when its been the most complained about thing about sims 4 Personally much prefer loading screens as it keeps the game more stable and gives me time to stand up and stretch my legs as I may have been sitting in the same position for some hours. Love the hard work everyone on here does for us

That's mostly because poll options are added as they come in, and I just added open world on December 9th (last Sunday). Which is just a few days ago; see my previous comment here.

My original vote is witches, had i felt the smallest bit of hope that open worlds were even possible in the sims 4 i would undoubtedly change my vote in less than a heartbeat to open worlds. the game just wasnt designed for it.

Indeed, keeping in mind the already-small "neighborhoods" in TS4 and the fact that there isn't that much to discover anyway (no, not even in that Sepulvadera or whatever the Jungle Adventures destination is called)...an open-world feature more than 4 years into the game would not make much sense.

If a player is more of the explorer-type, there are much better open-world titles out there.

voted for cars, because that one really stings - but my hopeless dream for a ts4 feature is individual funds, especially for sims cohabiting as roommates!! at the moment i write down everything they spend, earn, etc and keep tabs manually, but having a way to do it in the actual ui would be awesome. i cried tears of joy when seasons came out and we got an actual calendar!!

and i think a lot of simmers are dying for more space. more worlds, more lots, too much is never enough!! id love a new city world, with more apartments, but maybe the chances are slim. havent had a chance to download strangerville yet but im honestly more excited about a new world than anything about the gameplay, ahah!!

I'd love to see futuristic dlc. MORE CURLY AND AFRO STYLES! MORE (DARK) SKIN SHADES! Also, teleporters instead of stairs. Also, the Sims 3 option to fertilize all plans at once. I miss that a lot.

For me it's also a general notion of what was in Sims 3 and isn't in 4, I'd love to have that.

Adding to the convo from several posts up. This is just my hypothesis, but I think making open world would make such major lagging issues, that the game would just crash all the time (like Sims 3 did), and I think they made Sims 4 with neighborhoods like this specifically for that reason.

Just a small addition: it is absolutely possible to create decent big open-world games than run fluently, but then again, you've anticipated it correctly:

These games typically (see e.g. GTA Online) tend to have to far higher system requirements than TS4. With the casual player as the target audience in mind, requiring a monster-gaming machine is just not going to cut it. 

I believe I've said it earlier already, but another reason that feature is not going to come, is because we're a long time inside the game's life cycle. Drastic changes to basic features or game mechanics after such a long time, are not that common with games in general.

Oh, sure! Dragon Age Inquisition or any Elder Scrolls games are open world, and they work just fine on my old laptop. It overheats like a mf, but it works. Just playing and following this series throughout its existence from the very beginning, I can tell (even without any knowledge about game production and mechanics) that there is a difference between how Sims flows, and how say, Skyrim flows. Even though I can't really pinpoint or explain how exactly, they work differently. And honestly, I'd rather have a few seconds of loading screen than the game crashing unexpectedly, seemingly for no reason.

Over the year it seems we got some of the things we wanted here but the clipped versions of it, like being able to swim in the ocean but only in one world. There was a parenthood game pack but it was not about bringing kids to school etc.
