Absolutely! You can do so to free up space on your hard-drive. But I would suggest that if you have some external storage medium available (external drive, USB flash, etc), that you back up those downloads. Later on if you move to a new computer, have to re-install Windows, or for some other reason have to re-install the game itself, you can simply take your backup. And not have to re-download everything.
