Ugh! Re-installed... Sims 3 updated on me![SOLVED]

I had all the games ALL installed today... (I own disks to base game, late night and ambitions). I had everything loaded up to master suite. My darn game updated, and I read here that that means I'm screwed. So... I uninstalled EVERYTHING a couple of hours ago. I just reinstalled and my stinkin' game updated again to the most recent version, GAH! I guess I'm not quick enough, or it's just updating on it's own. So now I have base game, high end loft, ambitions, fast lane and late night- all updated to the latest version and everything's working.

I know that Generations has some strange crack situation to it, that you don't really crack the game like you do the old school way and replace files in the actual game folder. It has files that go into the main base game folder, which every time I've done it, borks my game bad. So... what's your suggestion? I am running the latest release. It's when I get into installing and attempting to "crack" Generations, town life, pets and master suite that my game goes all screwy... what should I do?? I reallllly would love generations, town life, pets and master suite, but like I said, I have the latest version updated What's your suggestion?? thank you so much for answering so many stupid questions

Thank you so much. I was pretty sure I knew I had to wait but I thought some amazing breakthrough might have been overlooked by myself and I would still be able to obtain these games and play them. Might have to go buy pets today though, I reeeeeeeeeealllllly wanna play that stinkin' game! LOL!

I'm still a weeeee bit confused as to where the actual downloads are...? TPB doesn't work for me in the US....

Again... not sure where the actual links are listed....?! Torrents are a wee bit tricky for us in the US right now and I've already received one DMCA a couple of years ago, so I've gotten all my games I currently have through warezbb forum which provided RS links...

Could you point me in the location of the sims 3 games that are listed for download, is it on the actual TPB site?

It is (must have just been down yesterday or something?!)! But, I haven't tried downloading any torrents from it yet... I have all the games ready to be installed (fairlight and vitality) but that would be pointless at this time because there's no fix for my silly updated version 1.31. I am such a space case that I didn't even notice when I went update-click-happy *sigh* and updated my game to latest version AGAIN after a full uninstall and reinstall yesterday. gah. But I only installed / updated to Late Night (I own the disc), and am waiting on the new version fix / update until I throw the rest of them on there. I have never been able to get outdoor living to work properly (please insert disk warning), so I guess I'm going to have to skip that one!

So you are telling me to go find the outdoor living stuff right now at TPB (G4TW version), download it and install it / crack it?

I know from Generations on, I will have to wait for the fix (which I'm doing rather patiently... kinda! LOL!)....

(and no, the outdoor living stuff wasn't a modified version or anything special I don't think, just the fairlight one floating around. I already wiped it off my computer, it was making me mad, LOL)

Ahhh okay. I see! I will patiently wait for the new fix then I'm torrenting OLS right now and will save it until the fix is released. I know Admin is working hard on it, and for that I am very grateful!
